Assistant Accountant – Transactional Management (VAT & Intercompany)

This is a new role resulting from CSL’s new Operating Model and the establishment of a Global Transactional Management & Systems Team.

The role is part of the Transactional Management & Systems team and is responsible for supporting the Manager for VAT & Intercompany to deliver accurate and timely execution of VAT and Intercompany activities.

This role will support in the preparation of VAT returns, Intrastats, EC Sales, Intercompany invoices and reconciliations across the set of entity codes. It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare VAT, Intrastat & EC Sales working papers for review and submission to a third party.

• Prepare journals and reclassification entries regarding VAT and Intercompany.

• Prepare and post Intercompany invoices in line with Group policy.

• Assist with reconciliations, for VAT & Intercompany.

• Prepare, review and investigate intercompany mismatches.

• Prepare and post month tax journals.

• Support wider transactional management and systems team.

• Support continuous improvement plans and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline

• Proven experience in accounting and finance.

• Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.
