Assistant Category Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager to support our large enterprise customer. Support the face of our customer’s cutting-edge devices and services, designed to provide customers - consumer and commercial - with world-class products and experiences. Our customer represents one of the largest worldwide retailers of Microsoft products and is poised for significant growth in the next five years. To fuel the continued growth, we are seeking a Category Manager who will support the Device Commercial business and report to the Director of Hardware Category Management. This individual will help run the day-to-day operations and lead all category execution, including assortment management, field engagement and weekly reporting.

Would you like to...
- Assortment Management: Manage the product lifecycle from item creation to end of life. Support global product launches and be an expert on our retail systems and tools.
- Field Engagement: Communicate programs, priorities, and promotions to the field sales team. Create energy and excitement through your passion and knowledge for the Surface business. Create clarity and drive for results by answering field questions, gathering insights & improving programs and processes.
- Program Management: Help execute against the strategy determined by the Senior Category Manager for Commercial, which includes managing programs like Surface Complete protection plans. Help create and track new programs and procedures that are needed for sales field communications and operational infrastructure
- Data Analysis: Analyze product sales, deal pipeline and close rate and provide recommendations by product line and customer segment to grow the business. Conduct competitive analysis and customer segmentation research to help the Senior Category Manager make informed and data-driven assortment, pricing & program decisions.
