Assistant Controller
Job Description
ABOUT NYSHEXÂ
Have you ever stopped to wonder how your computer, clothes, furniture, or household goods made their way to your doorstep? Most of the things you own arrived here in a container on a container ship. It is a massive industry that we all heavily rely on but don’t think about much because it’s been done the same way for decades without much change or innovation. NYSHEX is a well-funded, series A start up that is transforming the centuries old shipping industry by solving its problems of inefficiency, unpredictability, and volatility and looking to capture $23 billion of economic waste annually.  Â

You’ll build and lead a team of accounting professionals that maximizes impact and collaboration.Â
This is a full-time, hybrid role reporting to our Senior Director of Finance While we're currently operating remotely, NYSHEX will be implementing a hybrid working model in the future - nearly all NYSHEX staff globally will work from a NYSHEX office on Mondays and Tuesdays, and flexibly for the remainder of the week.Â

Â
QUALIFICATIONS Â
