connectRN is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our Finance Team. You'll play a key role in shaping our financial strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive financial reporting including general ledger, A/R, A/P, and payroll reporting, audit assistance, and crucial ad-hoc contributions. Anticipate making a substantial impact, from ensuring tax compliance to collaborating on FP&A board reporting and leading initiatives in cost reduction and control.

- Manage full cycle accounting including monthly closings, account reconciliations, and accruals, and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly financial statements, and reports, and manage full-cycle accounting activities in compliance with GAAP
- Liaise with external auditors for annual financial statement audits
- Evaluate and ensure adherence to financial standards, regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with FP&A team for board reporting, develop accounting KPIs, metrics, and dashboards
- Assist in drafting technical accounting memoranda and support external audit processes
- Contribute to valuation efforts for options, warrants, and convertible debt, and assist in tax return and compliance
- Support borrowing base and bank covenant compliance, and provide ad hoc analyses for informed business decisions.
You have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in NetSuite; familiarity with Sigma FP&A or equivalent is a plus
- Strong Excel modeling skills and comfort with accounting software
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in-person at our Waltham, MA office on a hybrid basis, balancing collaboration needs with remote work for individual contributions
- Previous experience in an entrepreneurial tech company environment strongly preferred
