Overview

A global financial services company working on assigning credit rating to issuers is looking to expand their Accounting team in search of an Assistant Controller. This person will report directly to the Controller and CFO, and work cross functionally with multiple departments in the organization.

About the Role

• Responsible for helping prepare and consolidate financial statements
• Closing the books each month and managing all aspects of the general ledger
• Working collaboratively to standardize processes and procedures
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles  
• Serving as a liaison to external auditors
• Any adhoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of accounting experience, ideally with consulting or financial services  
•  Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Start up, Private equity or Big 4 experience preferred
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
