Job Description

Our Mission

Path's mission is to make mental healthcare work for everyone.

Who we are

Path is a healthcare company powered by technology, dedicated to making mental health care work for everyone. Path takes a patient-first approach, where treatment is more accessible, personalized, and effective. With Path, it’s easy to find a high-quality therapist or psychiatric clinician who accepts insurance and is actively accepting new patients.

We are deeply committed to providing high-quality care that improves the lives of patients, investing in the providers who deliver that care, and always operating in an ethical and compliant manner.

What we’re solving

Over 65 million Americans have a treatable mental health issue — that’s 1 in 5 people. Today it’s difficult to find a provider, and for those with complicated conditions, it’s nearly impossible to find coordinated care. There’s a good chance someone close to you could have used the help, even if it wasn’t obvious to the people around them. We’re here to fix this.

About The Role

As an expanding driver in the mental health sector, we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Controller to play a pivotal role in our Accounting team's success. This crucial position offers the opportunity to leave a lasting impact, overseeing the integrity of month-end close activities, guiding a dedicated team, optimizing accounting operations, and steering the organization through its first audit. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in addressing technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance, and setting the foundation for financial best practices that will fuel our growth. We invite you to bring your expertise to a role where you'll not only advance professionally but will contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven startup that's shaping the future of mental health services.

  • Implement and oversee sophisticated accounting systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Engage with the VP of Finance and Head of FP&A to provide strategic financial insights and align accounting practices with overall business objectives.

  • Address complex technical accounting issues, including researching, documenting, and implementing accounting standards and policies.

You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in public accounting and technical accounting in a senior role.
