Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Brooklyn Center summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing Services in managing nursing staff and maintaining high-quality patient care in a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include overseeing wound care rounds, infection control, staffing coordination, compliance, medical record accuracy, and staff hiring and training. This role requires a registered nurse license, leadership skills, flexible hours, and experience in long-term care and nursing management.
Brooklyn Center is hiring a Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Brooklyn, NY.
DUTIES:
β’ Assist the DNS with management responsibilities and in maintaining the quality of care
β’ Responsible for Wound/Skin Rounds weekly
β’ Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
β’ Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents
β’ 24 hours on call
β’ Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services
β’ Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
β’ Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records
β’ Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff
β’ Oversee daily staffing process
β’ infection control
β’ Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
REQUIREMENTS:
β’ Current State RN license required
β’ Min. 3 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings
β’ 2 years of management experience preferred
β’ 1-year staff education experience preferred
β’ Excellent Communication Skills required
β’ Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
β’ Flexible hours required
