Job Description
Position: Assistant Director of Community Living Services
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Starting Salary Range: *$70,000-$87,500 annually
*The stated starting salary pay range for this position is meant to reflect a range of where a typical entry level candidate would start and is not meant to be all inclusive. Additional education and experience may result in a starting pay outside of the stated range.*

As an Assistant Director of Community Living Services you will be a valuable asset to Laradon’s mission by planning, leading, organizing, staffing, directing and coordinating the administration, operations and program services of the CLS Department.
No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:

Assist the Executive Director with developing, implementing and monitoring the budget for CLS.

Analyze and evaluate programs effectiveness and make recommendations for changes and improvement to help foster growth and quality.

Develop or revise Laradon policies and procedures pertaining to programs in the department.Â

Review Human Rights Committee paperwork and Incident Reports and ensure appropriate follow up is completed.

Establish a leadership role to inspire and develop staff in order to meet Laradon’s mission.

Develop and/or maintain well-organized, accurate and complete recordkeeping and electronic information systems pertaining to ARS.

Ensure that CLS policies, practices and procedures are in compliance with the general operating philosophy of Laradon as well as regulations and requirements.

Develop and maintain contracts with all independent contractors and ensure contract language meets legal requirements.

 Assist with the development and goals of the Annual Business Plan.

Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all Laradon programs and departments.

Comply with standards of regulatory agencies and take corrective follow up action.

Create and foster a positive and collaborative team environment, which includes leading weekly team meetings.

Serve as an Ambassador of Laradon to the community.

On-call 24 hours by cell phone.

Help with the development and implementation of staff training for department.

Other duties as assigned.

- Requires on-going training and development in program specific area.
We ask that you bring the following assets to our workplace:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the human services field, three years of which was at a management or supervisory level.
- Experience with IRSS required and CES preferred.
- Valid driving license, good driving record and must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full work days; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.
