Assistant Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer

Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
Assistant engineer's role will be a hands-on technology driver supporting the existing Customer Communications platforms by creating innovative solutions, as well as driving solutions that modernize, stabilize, and support the growth of the Platform. You will interact with IT partners, Business providing technical support. Focus will include Support, Solution design, automation, troubleshooting and resolution, and performance tuning. You will engage with multiple concurrent teams and provide governance to ensure that standards and best practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in design discussions and provide technical support to application developers and operations support staff. This includes promoting use of best practices, ensuring standardization across applications and troubleshooting.
• Implement integration solutions through collaboration with engineers and application teams across the global enterprise.
• Promote and utilize automation to design and support configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of the integration platforms using tools and scripts such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Azure pipelines and Linux shell.
• Troubleshoot, Investigate, recommend, implement, and maintain document generation solutions across multiple technologies.
• Manage application performance and availability, including capacity planning, capacity tuning.
• Implement automation to reduce the manual work, improve efficiency, performance, and stability of the application platforms.
• Work with the teams across the globe in different time zones.
• Learn new technologies & tools including automation & AI, experiment and implement solutions in collaboration with senior engineers.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

• Over 3 years in experience in building, deploying, and maintaining java applications platforms including web, application servers like WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, Apache etc .
• Over 2 years of engineering experience in building and managing application infrastructures.
• with implementation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, of complex, enterprise applications etc.
• Hands on experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Quadient or any other document management systems.
• Working knowledge or experience with Infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform etc
• Experience with scripting languages (Linux Shell, PowerShell).
• Has knowledge of or experience with SAFe Agile methodologies.

Desired:

• Working knowledge or hands on experience with one or more of the following:
  • Ansible.
  • AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic
  • AKS, Azure, Docker.
  • OpenShift Container platform.
