Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory (Hybrid)
Job Description
- Handle all investigatory aspects of legal and compliance with applicable laws and regulations associated with consumer financing products
- Provide guidance and collaborate with business teams to minimize risk
- Inform the business on various legal issues affecting vendor agreements and other transactions
- Partner closely with business and technology teams to implement changes
- Assist in managing outside counsel in order to accomplish legal and compliance objectives and meet budget commitments
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admittance in good standing with at least one state bar
- 2+ years law firm or corporate in-house counsel (consumer financial services or e-commerce industry a plus)
- Ability to investigate state and federal law and provide detailed recommendations
- Effective multi-tasking, communications, and problem-solving skills (multi-stakeholder engagement a plus)
- Genuine interest in learning in-depth approaches to consumer financial services
