Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory (Hybrid)

Reports to: Sr. Associate General Counsel, Regulatory
About the role:
As Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory, you will join our well-established legal team supporting Enova’s lending and financial services businesses and focus on ongoing regulatory compliance with consumer finance laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of compliance with applicable laws and regulations associated with consumer financing products
- Interpret new and existing laws and regulations and provide guidance to business teams
- Advise legal and business partners about various legal issues affecting vendor agreements and other transactions
- Partner closely with business and technology teams to implement changes
- Assist in managing outside counsel to accomplish legal and compliance objectives and meet budget commitments
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admittance in good standing with at least one state bar
- 2+ years legal practice experience handling regulatory matters
- Experience researching state and federal laws, assessing strategy and operations risk, and providing detailed recommendations
- Effective multitasking, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Genuine interest in developing an in-depth understanding of consumer financial services
