Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting & Analysis

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting & Analysis to oversee the monthly closing process, accruals, and financial disclosures. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly financial closing process, ensuring all general ledger accounts are reconciled and adjusted as necessary.
- Manage and review accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in compliance with IFRS
- Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors for timely completion.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting, providing insights for management decision-making.
- Ensure all accounting processes align with internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments for intercompany reconciliations, cost allocations, and financial analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed.
Job Requirements:
- ACCA/CA Finalist or Finance Graduate from a reputed university.
- 5-6 years of experience in accounting, with strong knowledge of financial closing, accruals, and disclosures.
- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with financial systems (ERP experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
