Position Purpose

The Assistant Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting the preparation of project financial data and month end files and reporting for management information. The role works closely with Project Accountants and Project Admin. throughout the lifecycle of Projects, escalating issues, or challenges to the team as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Years of Experience: 1-2 years in a similar accounting role.
• Experience with project or management accounting a plus.
• Application/ program Experience: Microsoft Office Suite- especially Excel.
• Experience with EPR systems preferred.
• Experience in the construction or manufacturing industries a plus.

The employee regularly operates a computer, including typing, using a mouse or keyboard, and viewing the screen for extended periods. While the role does not require regular lifting or physical exertion, there may be occasional onboarding programs or training opportunities that create opportunities for more exposure to physical tasks or new environments (sites, venues, etc.)

• Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
