Role Summary
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, responsible for managing the quality team of a business unit. Ensures that organizational quality objectives are successfully achieved.
Key Responsibilities

- Manages all quality activities for assigned business unit.
- Provides leadership and daily direction to the Quality Engineers, Quality Liaisons and Quality Technicians assigned to the business unit.
- Ensures the needs of the Customers are clearly and timely communicated to appropriate personnel at MSD.
- Monitors and strives to improve department KOIs.

- Ensures systems are in place to track quality (CEPA, LPA's, LAT, etc).
- Ensures quality reporting is conducted regarding our performance with the customer as well as production quality and supplier quality.
- Ensures appropriate APQP activities are taking place.
- Ensures all quality employees assigned to the business unit (new and transferred) have received all required training in a timely manner.
- Ensures the thoroughness and timely completion of scheduled performance reviews for all quality staff assigned to the business unit.
- Ensures all Company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules are consistently adhered to.
- Collaborates with the Quality Manager and Human Resources Manager in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive quality experience in a JIT Automotive manufacturing environment.
Additional Information
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to customers, suppliers, vendors, management, employees and corporate personnel
- Excellent analytical, problem resolution and project management skills
- Working knowledge of Quality Systems (i.e. QOS, FMEAs, Control Plans, Statistics, APQP)
- Strong organizational skills; and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities within and across departments/business units to meet established and changing deadlines
