Job Title: Assistant Site Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Job Location: Field

Position Summary
As directed by the Site Manager, supervise and coordinate construction activities to meet production schedules and to ensure all work meets or exceeds plan specifications and quality standards.
Specific Job Duties:
Scheduling & Trade Contractor Management:

  • Assist the Site Manager with scheduling subcontractors.
  • Ensure trade contractors report to construction site as scheduled and coordinate work.
  • Provide feedback to Site Manager regarding trade contractor quality.

Quality Control:

  • Assist the Site Manager in inspecting homes for quality standards.
  • Carry out all field changes and modifications as instructed by the Site Manager.
  • Communicate with the Customer Care Representative regarding home care and maintenance concerns.

Job Site and Subdivision Management:

  • Ensure adequate safety precautions are followed on job site.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of SWPPP best practices.
  • Ensure the proper storage of equipment and materials used in the construction process.

General Duties:

  • Maintain updated information on all plans and specifications.
  • Assist the Customer Care Representative with all job functions as needed.


Managerial Responsibility:
While this position does not supervise other employees, it does supervise trade contractors, up to 20 at a time.
Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ progressive construction experience preferred.
  • Must possess a strong and professional code of ethics.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • The occurrence of major violations including but not limited to DUI, DWI and Reckless Driving may preclude coverage by New Home Co.'s auto insurance carrier and as a result may preclude employment with the Company. 

Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.

Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to bend, climb, lift 1-50 pounds, reach, see, stand, sit, walk on uneven terrain, hear, type and talk. Job will often require working in heat, cold or inclement weather. May have exposure to hazardous materials and require personal protective equipment such as eye, respiratory and hearing protection. This job is located on a construction site and may require wearing hard hat and steel toe boots.
