Job Description

This position is eligible for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds which includes a one-time $750 sign-on bonus payable after the completion of 90 days of employment as well as a monthly stipend of up to $694.50 which is based upon the hours worked in the previous month for as long as the funds are guaranteed by the State.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Assistant Supervisor in our Family Care Community Partnership Program will collaborate with the FCCP Clinical Director and FCCP Clinical Supervisors to provide support to staff within the program. The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for training new staff and providing support such as submitting requests, reviewing staff documentation, and closing out cases. 

Your Main Priorities
• Acts as the liaison between East Bay FCCP and DCYF’s Central Referral Unit (CRU) regarding client referrals. 
• Reviews, edits, submits, and documents referrals FCCP sends to the CRU.
• Provides onboarding and Wraparound training for new hires. 
• Assigns client referrals. 
• Oversees staff completion of documentation in a timely manner, tracks Medicaid due dates. 
• Assists in writing diagnostic notes and in writing Wayward Disobedient Petitions. 
• Manages the requests, documentation, purchases, approvals, and appropriate signatures for Flex Funds. 
• Communicates with DCYF workers on non-crisis related tasks such as missing information needed and referral questions. 
• Engages in community outreach, plans, and executes Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) and Family Community Advisory Board (FCAB) activities. 
• Reviews Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessments. 
• Audits client files monthly. 
• Participates in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field required; graduate degree or enrollment in a graduate degree program preferred. 
• 1+ year of experience in providing family-based services. 
• Experience with community-based services strongly preferred. 
• Knowledge of state resources and systems such as DCYF and DHS. 
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred. 
• Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population. 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Must be able to authorize Child & Family to complete Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Will be required to meet all pre-employment requirements such as background checks and medical clearances.

Site location: Middletown, RI
Local travel required.
