The Assistant Technical Instructor works closely with instructors and students to ensure an engaging classroom experience while helping learners build the technical and professional skills needed to launch careers in IT. Accountabilities:
Support the delivery of technical training programs by assisting instructors in preparing classroom materials, activities, and learning resources.Help manage classroom operations, including monitoring attendance, student engagement, and overall learning environment.Encourage student participation and help maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere that promotes learning and retention.Assist with hands-on technical labs, exercises, and learning modules, including providing one-on-one guidance to students who need additional support.Contribute to tracking student progress by collecting and maintaining data related to assessments, classroom performance, and certification outcomes.Maintain the functionality of the technical training lab by performing regular equipment checks, preparing classroom technology, and managing IT resources.Support IT-related operational tasks such as system maintenance, technology inventory tracking, equipment deployment, and documentation.Assist with technology donations processes, including testing, documenting, and preparing equipment for classroom use.Participate in projects and initiatives that support program delivery and continuous improvement of training outcomes.Requirements:
A recognized IT certification such as CompTIA A+ or a comparable industry certification.Completion of a technology training program or relevant educational background in information technology.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to motivate and support learners in an interactive, hands-on educational environment.Solid classroom management capabilities and the ability to work with groups of varying experience levels.Technical interest across multiple IT domains, with the ability to assist with lab setup, system maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, track details, and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.A proactive, responsible, and professional attitude with a strong commitment to personal development and helping others succeed.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and adapt to new ideas and teaching methods.Availability to work Monday through Friday, up to 8 hours per day.Benefits:
