Job Description

General Summary
The Assistant to the Creative VP, Live Action Film will provide full administrative and project management support to the Creative VP, Live Action Film as well as the LAIKA Live Action department. 

Job Functions 

  • Provide on-going administrative support to the Creative VP, Live Action Film including phone coverage, scheduling, office organization, travel arrangements, expense reports, etc.
  • Work closely with Live Action Production team to ensure all administrative needs are met.
  • Attend meetings and provide notes/meeting recap and distribute action items to relevant parties.  
  • Track industry trades and other relevant media outlets for news, research, and information to keep department current.
  • Actively monitor target resources for potential source material.
  • Track, read, and provide notes on existing and incoming material.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external presentations of new and existing properties and projects.
  • Act as liaison for external partners including agencies, writers, production partners, talent, etc.  
  • Provide day-to-day office management including mail facilitation, office supply inventory, parking passes, etc.; coordinate with property management, as needed.   
  • Coordinate with Portland-based teams for IT, security, facilities, on-site visitors, etc. 

Qualifications 

  • 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably at talent agencies or other entertainment companies. 
  • Avid reader and demonstrated skillset in story analysis, and strong knowledge of industry trends.
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy; able to use discretion, sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Highly proficient in entire MS Office Suite; strong Excel & PowerPoint skills preferred.

Location 
On-site in Los Angeles, CA, and eligible for hybrid work.
Salary
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
