About The Role

As an Assistant – Travel Editorial, you will have the opportunity to apply your experience hands-on in service journalism, working closely within the team and cross-functional partners to update the goop city guides. You’ll fact-check current city guide listings, gather travel recommendations, manage data and assets, and track project progress, contributing to our team's success while developing your skills in communication, editing, and research. This role is perfect for motivated individuals seeking to learn the ins and outs of an online publication, develop new competencies, and lay the groundwork for a media career.

• Fact-check existing city guide listings (for restaurants, hotels, shops, bars, museums, activities, etc.) and update outdated information.
• Gather visual assets and information for new city guide listings and travel stories.
• Keep track of city guide updates, organize related spreadsheets, and help outline plans for future updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently enrolled in a relevant undergrad or master’s degree program in any related area of study, or within 1-year post-graduation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills, problem-solving initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with WordPress and Microsoft Suite preferred.

FAQ 

• Compensation: $16.90 an hour. This temporary Assistant role will be full-time (32-40 hours/week) and run from June 3rd – July 26
