Job Description

The Assistant Treasurer will be responsible for assisting with debt execution, debt and capital management, liquidity modeling and capital planning. The role will be part of the Treasury team and will report directly to the VP of Treasury.  

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

This position will perform a wide range of treasury duties including:

  • Manage corporate debt. 
  • Run corporate liquidity modeling and planning. 
  • Lead the implementation of electronic payment services and reporting.
  • Connect with banks regarding accounts, payments, and services.
  • Assist with reviewing treasury services agreements and treasury transactions.
  • Fund and corporate liquidity planning.
  • Short-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Implementing best practice treasury solutions.
  • Preparing management reporting as part of regular close cycles and on an as needed basis.
  • Performing credit reviews of counterparties.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and treasury projects as assigned to meet the demands of a growing and evolving, fast-paced environment.

Experience Requirements

  • Combination of 8 years of relevant work experience in treasury, accounting or finance required.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and debt management required.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling required.
  • Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures and demonstrated agility with evolving business environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient on MS Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • Familiarity with data analysis platforms (Power BI) is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA or related field preferred.
  • CPA or CFI preferred.
  • Prior experience with Utility Scale Renewable Energy preferred.
