Job Description
The ideal candidate brings strong quantitative skills excellent attention to detail and experience working with structured finance or mortgage‑related products. This position is based in New York.
Key Responsibilities
Core Analytical Work
- Conduct RMBS transaction analysis including assessment of collateral characteristics deal structures credit enhancement levels and legal frameworks.
- Identify and focus on key credit issues during the new‑issue rating process.
- Review and evaluate banker cash‑flow model outputs providing feedback on structural assumptions.
Committee & Internal Collaboration
- Serve as a co‑lead or back‑up analyst on selected transactions.
- Present analytical findings to rating committees with clarity and confidence.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure accurate and consistent application of criteria.
Modeling & Methodology
- Contribute to the enhancement of structured finance criteria models and analytical tools.
- Perform sensitivities transaction comparisons and stress‑testing tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
Research & Publications
- Produce and publish market updates newsletters or concise commentary with minimal supervision.
External Engagement
- Participate in meetings with bankers issuers investors and other market participants to discuss transaction details and analytical considerations.
- Represent the team professionally in all client‑facing interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance economics math engineering computer science or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in structured finance securitization banking mortgage finance or a relevant analytical role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications.
- Organized deadline‑driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

Base Salary Compensation Range
$97854.00-137910.00
Incentive Target Percentage
20% Annual
