Assistant Video Editor

About the Position: Assistant Video Editors are responsible for editing ads for clients day to day, working for a fixed set of brands and in close contact with the creative directors that write and revise every video.

Important! Position is to work from 9:00AM to 6:00PM PST, we are a US based company.

What you'll do:

• Editing short form and long-form direct response video ads for Facebook and other platforms, for Ready Set clients
• Animating simple text and shape assets to complement the edits.
• Work hand to hand with the Sr Video Editor, receiving feedback, revisions and approval from them
• Following up editing best practices, naming conventions and upload and download procedures, so we can all edit each other's projects.

You are good at:

• Excellent English, both written and spoken. This is a US based company.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere and After effect (+3 years)
• Accessible, responsive and diligent - we move fast and reliability is key 
• Humble, coachable - takes feedback well. We are always learning from each other
• Self-motivated - a doer. We give everyone at Ready Set a ton of freedom
• Works well remotely - it’s a particular setup with its own pros and cons
• Understands paid social and how it’s different from other mediums
• Willing to experiment and take risks 
• Willing to learn and to take constructive feedback
• Team player 
• Willing to work within brand guidelines and help ensure our clients love their creative
• Driven by creating ads that help our clients sell more of their products. Open to iterating based on the data that comes back on what’s working
