ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Associate Finance Director to support the Commercial HVAC HQ Finance team located in Charlotte, global headquarters. The incumbent will be the finance owner for support to the Commercial HVAC Global Engineering & Product Marketing teams.

You will be primarily responsible for complete ownership of finance processes & support to the Engineering & Product Marketing teams for Commercial HVAC. This will include actively supporting financial reporting and analysis covering new product programs, RD&E spend, investment & return analysis and related performance metrics.
Generic Job Description
- Develops strategic and operational goals for the Commercial HVAC Global Engineering & Product Marketing teams, supporting with relevant financial analysis to support long-term and strategic business decisions of the organization.
- Provides technical subject matter expertise to senior leaders.
- Leads interpretation of complex financial reports and statistical analysis as well as development of recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Central Finance lead & contact for all New Product Development of all Commercial HVAC. Responsibilities include
- Collaboration & coordination with all the regions
- End to end ownership from Program initiation support till Program execution. This involves business case, eCAR, cost targets & financial outcomes. (IRR, NPV, Payback, Spend)
- All reporting including periodical Product day financial status, spend tracking, product vitality, Schedule C tracking and reporting
- Lead on investment reporting, health checks
Product platform support covering
- Reporting for Actuals, forecast and planning in HFM SOE
- Financial system standardization
Commercial HVAC Global Engineering FP&A support for
- Actuals, forecast, planning - HFM and Daptiv time tracking system by design center
- Evaluate monthly actual results for reasonableness & perform variance analysis to Plan / Prior Year / Prior Estimate including partnering with regional finance teams to understand their financial performance.
- Prepare a monthly report out capturing key performance metrics & KPI's relevant to New Product programs and RD&E.
- Provide support for senior executive presentations
- Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan & Long Range plans for Engineering & New Product Programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business.
- 10+ years' experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis role
Preferred Qualifications
- FP&A experience in a research and development or manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience with HFM, Hyperion.
- Work with minimal direction and possess strong organization skills critical to achieve reporting deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work with fellow employees and senior management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively and drive actionable results in the organization.
- Proven track record of establishing a strategic business partner relationship with general management and functional leaders of a multi-divisional organization.
- Solid interpersonal skills, including ability/desire to communicate (verbal and written) and collaborate across all functions and organizational levels.
- Strong influencing skills
