POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Manager, Product Development, Supply Chain/ Sourcing will participate in a rotational program to develop transferable skills throughout Sourcing, Production Development and Supply Chain. Working in partnership with a specialized Sr. Manager/Manager, the Associate Manager, Product Development, Supply Chain/ Sourcing will manage the sourcing and production of items in their category to ensure the team's vision is upheld while achieving business performance objects. The Associate Manager, Product Development, Supply Chain/ Sourcing will also be expected to approach their role with a high degree of honesty while upholding the brands integrity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work under the direction of a category Manager to support the Product Development and Sourcing process
• Develop expertise surrounding sourcing and product development strategies, the production process and cost/pricing targets
• Build a strong relationship with cross-functional teams and vendors to build partnership, achieve goals and troubleshoot issues that may arise
• Communicate sourcing and product development requirements for the category to Vendors for all Brands under the direction of the category Sr. Manager/Manager
• Assist category Sr. Manager/Manager in troubleshooting the manufacturing process and monitor timelines so deadlines are met and products are developed in a timely fashion
• Review production statuses and communicate with vendors to ensure the status of production and to meet deliveries on time in order to service all orders
• Manage raw materials, color, trim and fit/spec approvals for category
• Assist category Sr. Manager/Manager in negotiating and managing costing based on the seasonal guidelines
• Work with category Sr. Manager/Manager, Production, fit process, raw materials in executing the strategies from Sourcing and Technical, Planning, Design and Merchandising

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 5 Plus year of experience in two or more categories in a catalog or Retail Apparel Sourcing and Production Environment
• Knowledge of category import restrictions (related quota and safeguards) as well as duty rates
• Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast paced environment
• Works well with ambiguity and long distance cross-functional teams with understanding of cultural and time zone differences
• Professional work ethic and interpersonal skills
