What this job involves

We are seeking an Associate to join our Brokerage team and provide high level support, and leverage to multiple assigned real estate professionals, often handling a large amount of details relating to complex real estate transactions. This role works primarily in a support role on transactions projects. With experience, you may take on responsibility for specific portions of larger, more complex projects. This role works as part of a team, with supervision. Attention to detail and high level of client service are crucial.

You will help manage deal transactions, customize marketing materials, client interaction, new business activities, moderate financial management, and general support. This position would be responsible for prioritizing projects to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with direction from brokers and/or knowledge of company policies, procedures and best practices. You would assist in the planning, implementation and development of new marketing ideas for partners and clients. You would have advanced skills in Technology Tools. You would be a strategic partner to the brokers often becoming more involved with clients and deals. You'd be seen as a leader amongst peers and subject matter expert. This role is a peer leader who provides mentoring, training and onboarding support to new team members. This role has a specialty/niche (i.e. Marketing, Tech Tools, etc.) and is the point person in the office for that role.

Key responsibilities

• Work with brokerage team to identify new business opportunities and jointly form strategies to gain market share by leveraging JLL existing relationships, companies' expertise, technologies and intellectual property to enhance value and expand the products, services, and market reach.
• Administer critical date and other tracking reports such as expirations, renewal and auto-renewal options, termination/break rights and associated penalties, tenant improvement contributions, statutory requirements, lease commitments and remaining obligations and assist in executing the above.
• Participates in client outreach activities such as cold calling and client tours (RE license required)
• Manage smaller deals from start to finish with the guidance and supervision of a more senior broker
• Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiation, evaluation and documentation
• Provide clients with industry and market specific information as it relates to their business and maintain contact information on prospects
• Read and review real estate documents and prepare abstract reports for clients and prospective clients
• Contribute to designated local market research requests: market snapshots, market overviews, quarterly market decks, topic specific research to support pitches and brokerage opportunities.
• Review and understand financial models, cash flow projections, and valuation models
• Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into client deliverables and valuation models
• May perform financial analyses including cash flow projections with complex lease and financing structures and sensitivity analyses
• Update and maintain company CRM (e.g. Aero) to track prospects, clients and deal information
• Add and update current commercial real estate listings to website, Costar, VTS and other platforms

Experience and qualifications

• Requires a RE license
• Prefer a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate and excellent academic credentials required
• Preferred previous experience in corporate real estate, consulting or finance; understanding of real estate fundamentals is a plus
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
• Must be well-spoken and possess strong presentation and effective business-writing skills
• Impeccable organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task, work successfully within set time frames and effectively manage time and workload
• Self-starter, capable of maintaining a high energy level and being a team player
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards
