We are seeking an Associate, FP&A to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York city. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Company's 5-year business plan, including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flows
  • Develop wisdom around modeling inputs provided by various departments for a set of assets
  • Work closely with the accounting team and the FP&A Manager/Senior associate to complete quarterly income statement forecasts with meaningful comparison to business plan and forecast-to-actual, current business plan vs prior business plan analyses
  • Utilize forecast models to roll cash on a monthly basis
  • Work with vast quantities of data and help articulate the 'story' behind the numbers
  • Assist with the monthly leasing stats reporting
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc requests from corporate/senior management
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our financial processes
  • Prepare quarterly corporate financial reporting packs

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with strong GPA
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • CPA designation required
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Yardi Voyager
  • Experience working in commercial office real estate preferred
  • Demonstrated investigative, solution, and detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment while handling multiple projects
  • Proactive individual with a strong analytical capability
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team in a deadline driven environment
  • Communicates clearly and concisely to drive high quality, accurate, and efficient results (written and verbal)
  • Ability to develop strong rapport with stakeholders and build an organizational network to use in support of achieving objectives
  • Employs excellent interpersonal skills for effective team communication and project management

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Exempt/Non-exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Retirement: 401(k)

Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
