Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this hybrid role requiring knowledge of information systems and risk management, the Associate will facilitate client reporting and portfolio management functions for the Firm's PWM clients while monitoring for risk and ensuring compliance to Firm and regulatory policies. Associate will also have the opportunity to be innovative by improving processes, reducing risk, and increasing efficiency. Risk Mitigation, Exceptions Processing and Service. Review and analyze activity on accounts that are flagged by reconciliations and data quality scans to ensure accurate reporting and mitigate any risk. Manage projects to update our systems, adding new functionality or controls. Utilize client service skills, partnering with PWM Business stakeholders and strategic vendors to ensure portfolio management, reporting, and client service needs are met in a timely and satisfactory manner. Apply quantitative skills to analyze large data sets to identify exceptions and discrepancies.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline. Employer will accept a combination of education, experience and/or professional qualifications that are equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. One and half (1.5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year with the following: process optimization including identifying inefficiencies in workflows, performing root cause analysis, partnering with groups to develop system enhancements and performing system testing; utilizing exception (issue) management systems in order to ensure compliance with internal policy concerns to mitigate negative client service and financial risk; working with Excel to analyze large data sets to create reports and perform reconciliations and analysis using Excel formulas, charts, filtering and data validation; and utilizing SQL language to execute queries to perform defined process steps in team's procedures.
