Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Dallas, Texas. Analyze financial and loan level due diligence data of mortgage loans to provide detailed analysis of loan characteristic stratification and acceptability of loan purchase and/or securitization. Conduct mortgage loan analytics including determining samples and preparing diligence materials for third-party vendor partners using the Firm's internal pricing models while integrating specific portfolio assumptions for sales and securitizations. Manage data, write Structured Query Language (SQL) codes, and conduct trade and loan portfolio level analysis to measure performance and use results to drive business decisions that have a financial impact for the Division. Perform trade and portfolio level reconciliation and analysis using internal/external due diligence findings (credit, compliance, and value) and communicating with internal and external teams to find curative actions that mitigate potential risks. Ensure all final settlement activities and data are accurately uploaded in the databases and adjust the team's records to ensure accurate trade representation. Create and edit Visual Basic for Application (VBA) codes to improve work efficiency of internal models and databases. Support agented and principal Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities transactions by providing loan-level data analysis and comparing critical mortgage loan characteristics, while summarizing diligence reports and reviewing Private Placement Memorandums along with other investor reports and marketing materials in cooperation with the Division. Analyze and monitor active pipeline for the Firm's Conduit mortgage purchase channel to ensure accurate pricing and loan characteristics required for loan purchase and securitization. Collaborate with internal/external engineers and technology teams to build out and design a due diligence platform by providing logic to ensure adherence to the Firm's Credit underwriting and loan purchase criteria. Collaborate with vendors, mortgage clients, and GS stakeholders to facilitate the purchase of mortgages with a focus on strengthening client and vendor relations in order to improve trade volume and settlement timelines.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, or related field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with Master's) OR three (3) years (with Bachelor's) with the following: residential mortgage experience with pricing, analyzing credit, mitigating risk, trade analytics, securitization, acquisition and secondary market; mortgage products including legacy and newly originated Prime Jumbo Residential mortgages, QM mortgages, NonQM mortgages, Business and Personal Bank Statement loans, DSCR loans, Asset Depletion loans, Warrantable and Non-Warrantable Condo loans, First and Second lien HELOCs, and Closed End Second loans; working closely with internal diligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to identify and document loan level conditions and exceptions; determining resolutions and curative actions to mitigate potential risks and ensuring all final settlement activities and data are accurately uploaded in databases; collaborating with Residential Structure Finance (RSF) banking teams (or comparable teams) on advisory and sponsor deal securitizations to provide analytical support; rating Agencies securitization guidelines and reporting requirements; Collateral Analysis System (CAS) in order to create efficiencies in data reporting and analysis; and advanced proficiencies and experience with MS Excel and SQL.
