Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Business analyst on the Business Facilitation Team within the Regulatory Operations department. Responsible for managing requests and implementation of new business ventures and new instruments, with a lens on global regulatory reporting. The team coordinates with global counterparts and various teams within Operations, Engineering and the Business and manages multiple deliverables and stakeholder expectations. Analyze regulatory changes related to order, trade, transaction and/or position data. Analyze front to back system infrastructure to understand data flows, booking models and logic required to capture data. Assist the Business, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering management in understanding the impact of business initiatives on regulatory reporting. Prioritize business initiatives and commitment of the Operations and Engineering resources. Conduct deep dive reviews into existing reporting rules and associated infrastructure where necessary. Review business and functional specifications to determine potential impact to existing regulatory obligations. Liaise with relevant stakeholders in Operations, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and the Business to address potential areas of risk. Train and develop junior team members to understand complex workflows and processes. Analyze data from multiple systems to provide requirements for regulatory reports.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Financial Management, Technology Management or a related quantitative and analytical field.Five (5) years of experience with a bachelor's degree or two (2) years of experience with a master's degree in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years with a Bachelor's or two (2) years with a Master's degree in: analyzing business process flow and logic changes, system changes, system uplifts, and subsequently creating actionable deliverables based on change impact assessments for different teams to deliver on Change Requests; analyzing data from multiple systems and compiling data for financial and non-financial reporting by leveraging tools such as Oracle BI publisher, SQL Server Studio, JIRA and Tableau. Analyzing and interpreting large sets of new business data for themes and trends; training and developing junior team members to understand complex workflows and processes; developing functional and technical knowledge of front-end systems/UI's and delving into underlying system architecture to understand the impact of data flows on business reporting. Gathering business requirements in the form of functional and technical specification documents, performing data mapping and sourcing, translating requirements to engineering teams and coordinating end solution delivery as per signed-off requirements; coordinating with and communicating complex functional and technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders, educating them about technical architecture and challenges to ensure appropriate business support; using project management skills to prioritize competing deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations and accurately communicate project status to all stakeholders; partnering with internal and external teams to develop system integration approach and execute the integration plan; performing initial analysis and assessment of business process flow-system architecture and reporting capabilities; and engaging with business stakeholders to ensure data quality, bug fixes and system remediation.
