Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Closely monitor and validate key data attributes that contributes to important Goldman Sachs Asset Management ("GSAM") investing decisions. Responsible for full life cycle of both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, be able to risk manage events and process the event from event capture to final reconciliation. Monitor proxy voting process for shareholders and work with specific vendors executing the votes to ensure the vote is in line with the firm's policy. Ensure accounts are correctly set-up for proxy voting at the firm, custodian banks, and third-party vendors. Partner directly with key decision-making individuals from across GSAM Operations, GSAM Fund Management Desks, and Technology capture/validate corporate actions decisions that affect GSAM portfolios. Leverage your attention to detail by managing daily responsibilities and inquiries, while also working on enhancing your project management skills working on key market initiatives and internal system enhancements. Serve as a central point of contact/escalation for inquiries from the GSAM business regarding corporate actions. Grow with a strong team and develop a deep understanding of products and complex transactions while working with our business partners.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role in financial services industry. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: utilizing Advanced Excel to perform reconciliation and build enhancements for automation of large data sets relevant to business tasks; automating processes by managing risk through the use of systems primarily in Alteryx and SQL; critical risks and necessary controls related to financial operations/transaction processing; utilizing knowledge of Trade and Portfolio Management Accounting and Valuation Functions; and working with the IT department to develop system enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of corporate action processing.
