Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Business Intelligence team is a global team responsible for creating data infrastructure, sourcing data and visualizing data to provide business insights to the operations team to make informed data driven decisions, and to help automate processes. Data Analytics and Visualization: analyze big data and undertake exploratory data analysis while observing best practices for experimentation and analysis; design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards that will support our analytical and business needs; and develop indicators of performance and risk metrics. Data Storage and Retrieval: source information from multiple upstream data sources, including relational databases, flat files, APIs and PDF documents; and drive the collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources. Process Automation & Risk Mitigation: develop automated, scalable analytical solutions for large-scale, business-critical problems; design and implement complex Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes designed to import and normalize data from multiple source systems to support reporting projects; conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues; implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based extraction logic and review for complex legal and financial documents; and Apply Machine Learning (ML) techniques to solve complex data problems. Project management & Stakeholder Management: translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvements; work with several internal teams to drive action on recommendations; track and report progress on projects, adhering to solution delivery lifecycle; drive adoption and results of Business Intelligence assets through stakeholder collaboration; and interface with business groups to gather data and metrics requirements.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: implementing according to solution delivery frameworks including Agile, Six Sigma, and Waterfall; big data analytics experience through working on three (3) to five (5) data projects simultaneously; delivering ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development of database objects, SQL (Structured Query Language) queries and data analytic capabilities in rational database platforms; developing, maintaining, and managing data driven dashboards and analytics using visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Qlikview (representative data visualization tool kit); and working in a large team as both an individual contributor and as team player and being able to define, structure and prioritize work, while displaying agility to change priorities when circumstances. Alteryx Designer Core Certificate must be obtained within 2 months of being hired.
