Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Dallas, Texas. Contribute to the advancement of operational risk methods, practices, and the framework with specific focus on the design and implementation of a testing program. Review and evaluate new activity proposals including acquisitions for operational risk considerations and requirements. Proactively identify potential business risks, process deficiencies and improvement opportunities and engage stakeholders including the Consumer and Wealth Management (CWM) business to reduce risk. Maintain effective communication with other teams to determine root cause of errors and shepherd the implementation of control specific corrective actions related to non-compliance with policies and procedures. Contribute to executive reporting and other data-driven deliverables, with a focus on providing appropriate content, context, and structure in a precise and timely manner. Execute elements of the operational risk framework including but not limited to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program, Scenario Analysis, metrics monitoring, etc. Performing analytic work associated with Scenario Analysis for Operational Risk Capital. Project management, including building project plans, identifying team and resources, meeting deadlines, updating stakeholders. Creating an Operational Risk Testing Framework which leverages cross divisional risk themes as a method used to independently challenge.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Enterprise Risk Management, Operations, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: leveraging Operational Risk factors across a division in order improve control environment through design and performance; developing data quality control remediation plans to ensure compliance with various requirements; performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting control and process gaps, and implementing fixes to increase control framework effectiveness; systems and operations controls required for the banking industry such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX); building reports and presentations using Microsoft Office tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to provide updates on second line operational risk programs to audiences ranging from project stakeholders to executive leadership; using project management tools such as Smartsheets or JIRA; synthesizing Standard Operating Procedure and Process map documentation into control requirement language for key services across the division and highlights control gaps; and working with process mapping tools such as Visio, Signavio, or BlueSheets.
