Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Dallas, Texas. Engage in building new and maintaining existing enterprise applications and platforms used by wide range of users in the Banking domain globally by using backend technologies (such as Java, Spring, hibernate) and database technologies (such as SQL Server, Mongo, DB2) technologies. Involved in all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) including effort estimation, gathering of business requirements, design, development, review, build, testing, and deployment of commercial scale software changes. Interface and communicate independently with product stakeholders and cross functional teams for requirement discussions, user acceptance testing, production pilot and live deal support. Demonstrate ability to understand micro services architecture and implement best industry practices. Contribute to the technical design and development for both business-driven and infrastructure projects with minimal supervision. Apply Agile methodologies in sprint-based development. Participate in the periodic release by getting involved in deployment and post release check-outs. Engage with support teams to troubleshoot and solve production issues in micro services environment. Analyze new tools and technologies for proof of concept and come up with recommendation. Demonstrate leadership and decision making to help train and mentor new application developers.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant degree such as Business Analytics and Information Systems and two (2) years with a Master's degree or four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or in a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with a Master's degree OR four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with the following: utilizing programming skills to analyze, design, develop, and support enterprise application development; delivering complex digital products by utilizing scalable enterprise system design and micro services architecture; delivering solutions leveraging object-oriented concepts, data structures and design patterns; hands on development experience in Core Java and Spring framework; building scalable and reliable systems with Restful APIs leveraging Spring Boot; continuous integration, delivery and deployment of software product using modern CI/CD tools; leveraging Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) build tools such as Gitlab, Maven or Gradle; providing level three support for applications by triaging and troubleshooting production issues; working with development tools including IntelliJ; and working with SQL or NoSQL database technologies. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience with: developing modern applications persistence layer using Hibernate or JPA; working with Cloud technologies including AWS or Azure; developing software solutions using Test Driven Development methodology; and using Postman to test APIs.
