Job Description
Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co LLC in Dallas, Texas. Design and develop applications to support the Firm's investment banking function. Interface and communicate independently with internal teams and senior stakeholders for requirement discussions, user acceptance testing, production pilot. Participate in technical design and development as well as deployment and post-release checkouts for both business-driven and infrastructure projects with minimal supervision. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including effort estimation; gathering of business requirements; and the design, development, review, building, testing, and deployment of commercial-scale software changes in an Agile environment. Use technologies such as Java/J2EE, React, Apache Camel, Spring, Hibernate, open-source frameworks and APIs, database technologies or Source Control Management systems. Run testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium. Engage with support teams to troubleshoot and solve production issues faced by investment bankers.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Prior work experience must include three (3) years with the following: utilizing analytical and programming skills to analyze, design, develop, and support enterprise application development; utilizing scalable enterprise system design and micro services architecture; utilizing object-oriented concepts, data structures, and design patterns; programing with Java, J2EE, Spring, and UI Technologies (including HTML, JavaScript, or CSS); database technologies, SQL, source control management systems (including Gitlab), and build systems including Maven or Artifact repository manager (including Maven); continuous integration, Jenkins, and project tracking (including JIRA), testing tools and frameworks (including Selenium); test-driven development, leveraging knowledge of test practices, different types of testing, and corresponding technologies to build reliable and resilient applications; and providing support for applications using troubleshooting skills.
