Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues. Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis. Manage incidents and effectively communicates with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas. Improve application stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures and/or issues, and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly. Build and improve run books for generalists to minimize operational errors and gain fungibility/efficiency. Develop reports that provide trending statistics to track and manage application health and support service performance. Document repetitive error resolutions in the form of run books for Level 1 to be able to handle the failures. Analyze and quantify current trends in failure alerts and helps transform the existing process to make it more efficient and cost-effective.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Security, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Security, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: providing production support within the financial services industry; working with a global team and communicating status and design effectively across multiple regions; working on legacy application maintenance and identifying enhancement opportunities; working with Object Oriented programming languages, such as Java or similar; troubleshooting application issues including identifying defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis; debugging and resolving complex technical and user reported issues; and using Unix operating system to create files, move files, and write shell scripts. Prior experience must include one (1) year with: batch process optimization using one of the following scripting languages: Shell, Perl or Python.
