Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Design, develop and support data pipelines and highly scalable APIs (application programming interfaces) that provide accurate business data to other business groups within the Firm. Curate, design, and develop high quality data models to ensure that data is accessible and reliable. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand new and changing business requirements, document them, and deliver software to drive business change. Provide data-driven insight and decision-making critical to the Firm's business processes. Drive adoption of Cloud technology for data processing and warehousing at the Firm. Develop and maintain data distribution infrastructure hosted on cloud - Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar. Implement and manage software development lifecycle (SDLC) via GIT, SVN (Subversion) using programming languages such as Python and Java. Understand, evaluate, select, and acquire new internal and external data sets that contribute to business decision making. Use project management tooling such as JIRA and Confluence to participate in agile sprints. Transform complex business requirements into highly scalable technical solutions. Design, implement and enforce data governance controls in data processes across divisions.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computing/Information Sciences, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computing/ Information Sciences, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. One (1) year with a Master's degree or three (3) years with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with: programming in Python or Java; experience in developing and supporting ETL jobs and data pipelines; maintaining software in a standard source control system, including SVN or GIT; working through the full software development life cycle including requirements gathering; design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; and working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design.
