Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsible for ensuring the platform health of the internal GS products. Assist with alert escalations from Level 1 support and resolve them, including escalating to developers or external vendors or engaging the appropriate infrastructure teams in case of an infrastructure issue. Provide technical support to users on Production connectivity issues or Configuration changes, raised as user support tickets or escalated via the escalation hotline. Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues. Responsible for production incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders across all areas. Work actively with team members in Platform Services and App Dev to analyze and resolve application issues. Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of log analysis. Assist with the resolution of incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas. Improve application stability and performance by observing patterns and recurring failures and/or issues and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly. Assist with building and improving run books for generalists to minimize operational errors and gain efficiency. Document repetitive error resolutions in the form of run books for Level 1 to be able to handle the failures.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Engineering Management or related field, such as Information Technology and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related role or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Engineering Management or related field, such as Information Technology and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (if Master's) OR five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor's) with: production support handling mission critical applications; using Unix operating system to create files, move files, and troubleshooting operating systems issues; incident, problem and change management processes and practices; and debugging and resolving complex technical and user reported issues. Prior experience must include (1) year with: troubleshooting application issues including identifying defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of log analysis.
