Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah, Software engineering role responsible for supporting the firm's public investing businesses. Own the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process, including gathering business and technical requirements, software design, implementation, testing, release management, and production support to translate requirements into well-engineered business applications, and conduct strategic and tactical risk analyses. Perform strategic software development tasks, including technical and functional analysis, design, support, issue resolution, and vendor and user management. Work daily with global development team in an agile scrum setting to communicate project status and timelines. Provide code review feedback to team members' software changes to maintain structural quality of software. Build data ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) pipelines from Investment Management data sources. Provide oversight and support for end of day pricing systems including providing senior level oversight over production support team and acting as an escalation point to resolve system issues that cannot be addressed by 1st and 2nd level support teams.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related role after undergraduate degree or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role after undergraduate degree. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with a Master's degree or three (3) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: working with data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts; working with databases including Sybase, MemSQL and MS SQL; working with the JAVA programming language; working with open-source enterprise frameworks including Java and Spring; programming and scripting shell scripts within UNIX or LINUX; using one or more software version control technologies, including one of the following: Concurrent Version System (CVS), SVN, or Git to manage and deploy code to various environments; and working in Financial Industry in the area of pricing for financial instruments including equities, fixed Income, and derivatives. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: working with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including interacting with users to elicit requirements, design and development, conducting direct user acceptance testing, and post-release production support; using HTML, JSON, JavaScript, and Clientside JavaScript frameworks including React; working with microservice architectures (SOA) and with the Spring framework family; and working with continuous deployment pipelines including Git.
