Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Build metrics and dashboards to gain insight into data for business stakeholders and senior management, including creating management information ("MI"), curating data adjustments and aggregating by division, and considering other parameters that impact customer decision making and regulatory obligations and reporting. Play a central role in influencing the strategic direction for data initiatives. Author project-related documentation, including data standards, reporting data dictionaries, and data models. Work closely with firmwide teams to influence the tooling that is being built to enable the data governance framework. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and build data models and data quality controls that meet the Firm's data requirements. Review and develop expertise in traversing data models via enterprise tooling such as 'Legend' (internally known as Alloy) to ensure data governance tooling is working as intended. Coordinate workstreams to document data lineage from source to target and work with engineering partners to digitize these processes. Provide frequent project updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, and users of all levels.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Employer will accept bachelor's degree equivalent based on single degree, combination of degrees, combination of degrees and certificates and/or exams, or combination of degree(s) and professional work experience, where determined to be equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: utilizing MS Excel, including pivot tables, slicer, VLOOKUP, and index matching; writing and documenting reports and project-related documentation in an objective, clear, concise, constructive, and timely manner; identifying, prioritizing, addressing problems throughout all phases of a project; utilizing SQL and Python; building data quality controls, issue management metrics and dashboards; and tooling to build dashboards.
