Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Software engineering role responsible for building frontend software to support our Firm's business. Develop frontend self-service UIs for a fully automated, mission critical, digital business. Work on projects through all stages of a GIT-based environment, including providing work estimates and raising critical project issues. Work directly with users and stakeholders to procure requirements and communicate ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical users of our systems. Work closely with the UX designers to design, build, and optimize the frontend UIs. Exercise independent judgment in formulating design and implementation requirements in the system following coding best practices and utilizing design patterns concepts. Build and maintain high quality production code including public facing sites. Engage in test-driven development by writing unit tests and RegTests. Support the existing system and deliver enhancements on a regular basis.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related field OR Master's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related field. Prior experience must include at least three (3) years of experience with Bachelor's degree or one (1) year of experience with Master's degree with the following: web development; working with APIs, JSON, and web services; working with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, QA testing and production release and under a test-driven approach, including writing unit tests and RegTests, performing deployment and continuous integration, and performing configuration management, documentation, maintenance, and refactoring; working with Javascript and React to code; hands-on development experience building responsive and performant web applications using React (including hooks and react-router) CSS-in-JS, or SASS; using and developing RESTful web Services; working in a Git based CI/CD SDLC environment; working in agile teams; utilizing Javascript and web testing frameworks, including JEST, enzyme, or Cypress; experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD; working with mission critical software systems; and developing software on Amazon Web Services.
