Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Remote work permitted 2 days per week within commuting distance of Dallas, Texas. Design, develop, test and maintain applications and technology solutions in the support of private investing businesses. Contribute to every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process, including gathering requirements, requirements analysis, software design, implementation, coding, deploying, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), version control, release management, production support. Participate in development, testing and support of both client and server-side systems in a dynamic environment utilizing SecDB, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, Angular and Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Sybase, MongoDB or Elasticsearch. Work closely with User Experience (UX) designers to understand the behavior of software interface and come up with the technical design to implement. Contribute to the design and build modular frontend features for applications, leveraging technologies including JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS. Architect and implement object-oriented, scalable and distributed Scala web applications, using frameworks and tools including Spring Boot, MongoDB and REST. Use engineering practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment to manage and deploy code to various environments using Gitlab and other proprietary tools. Provide bug fixes and test in an integration testing environment for on-going software releases. Make use of tools such as Gradle, Webpack to configure the build process for web applications. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies, but no prior knowledge of proprietary technologies required.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Science, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related software development role or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related software development role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with Master's degree or three (3) years of experience with Bachelor's degree with: designing and developing micro-services architecture including REST or Scala; working through the full Software Development Life Cycle management, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; using lightweight data-interchange formats, including JavaScript Object Notation (JSON); developing web technologies User Interfaces using Javascript, AngularJS, HTML5 or CSS; programming in the Linux environment; utilizing object-oriented programming languages, including JAVA; working with database query languages, including SQL and NoSQL technologies including DB2, MongoDB or Elastic; developing Restful Web services to expose business logic to relevant systems in a secure manner; writing automated tests for enterprise applications using Junit; and using tools and techniques for automated regression testing of front-end user interfaces or back-end services.
