Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote work permitted 2 days per week within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, UT. Work in a team that reviews high risk asset transfer requests by performing funding calculations and gathering exception approvals. Monitor exceptions to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies and performs testing of system enhancements to ensure the Firm has appropriate infrastructure to meet client needs, internal control standards, and external regulatory requirements. Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team-oriented environment, including targeting timelines, responding quickly to ad hoc analysis requested by internal stakeholders, and communicating appropriately vertically and horizontally. Conduct manual review of high-risk Private Wealth Management (PWM) asset transfer requests by performing funding analysis and gathering exception approvals which are regulatory or internal policy driven. Review alerts regarding failing market instructions and work with settlement teams to resolve market instructions of Free of Payment (FOP) transfers that have been rejected by counterparties in various. Liaise with internal PWM representatives and teams within the Firm's operations function to address exceptions addressing funding and liquidity issues for asset transfers. Use critical thinking to identify control gaps and inefficiencies and participate in change management process for system enhancements. Mentor and develop other employees, by leveraging subject matter expertise, and providing constructive feedback and mentorship to help them succeed in their position.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree with one (1) year of experience or Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year with a Master's degree or three (3) years with a Bachelor's degree with the following: working with multiple asset classes including fixed income, private and public equity, hedge funds, and currencies to conduct financial funding analysis for transfers of client assets; working with Excel with ability to analyze voluminous data to create reports and perform analysis using excel formulas, charts, filtering, and data validation; and presenting complex analysis in easy-to-understand terms to senior management and internal and external clients.
