Job Summary:
Identify, connect, and set meetings with prospects, helping the company to excel with customer acquisition. Work with sales management to select top categories for business development and to develop insights and ideas for each category. Determine the best accounts to pursue within targeted categories, make the initial connection, and set the discovery meeting. Participate in prospect discovery and presentation meetings, maintain contact, and build relationships during the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and client generation through cold calls.
- Work with sales management to determine best business categories.
- Determine which accounts to pursue, through industry and customer research.
- Take Category Insights provided and turn those into Client-based Insights.
- Develop a Valid Business Reason for each prospect.
- Pursue connections with a strategic, persistent, structured approach.
- Make the initial connection and set first-time discovery meetings for Account Executives on the team.
- Participate in prospect discovery and presentation meetings, maintain contact, and build relationships during the sales process.
- Develop and maintain sales activity and pipeline reports.
- Work collaboratively with internal team to drive revenue.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Adept at prospecting and understanding of the consumer sales cycle
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Independent, self-motivated, competitive, assertive
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to details; high work standards
- Understanding of market dynamics including demographics Stress tolerance especially with tight deadlines and financial pressures
- Flexibility and creativity
- Strong interpersonal skills
Work Experience
- 2+ years' experience in Inside Sales with proven success preferred
Education
- 4-year college degree preferred
