About the role:
The Associate Account Executive plays an important role in achieving both team and individual sales goals on an on-going basis. This role offers the opportunity for highly motivated individuals to work directly with Blackbaud customers to sell an extremely valuable mix of services that help our customers to further their missions. This role is also serves as the primary talent development team for the overall sales organization at Blackbaud.

What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement account strategies and directing activities needed to achieve sales objectives
- Effectively prospect assigned territory to develop new, self-cultivated opportunities from start to close
- Accurately and consultatively articulate the value proposition of Blackbaud University and Data Enrichment Services to clients at all levels
- Consult with and advise large, strategic nonprofit customers to drive increased adoption, success and expansion
- Adhere to the Blackbaud's sales methodology to effectively identify client needs, qualify opportunities, and manage pipeline and forecast
- Work in a high-energy sales team environment; while being both competitive and collaborative with the greater team
What we'll want you to have:
- Prior sales experience; 2-4 years of technology and/or software sales industry experience preferred
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college
- Positive and energetic phone skills, with aggressive outbound phone experience
- A self-driven, persuasive, and confident demeanor, with a positive outlook and a clear focus on achievement
- Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, written/verbal communication and customer relationship skills
- A love for selling and personality that thrives in a fast-paced, competitive, uncapped commission environment
- Nonprofit knowledge/experience is a plus
