ROLE OVERVIEW

The Family Business is one of the most dynamic areas of the TMS-McDonald’s business.  Incorporating work on both the Happy Meal as well as the broader family experience, the team works across a range of consumer touch points and media environments – while partnering with the world’s biggest entertainment properties to bring business changing ideas to life for McDonald’s. 

With a broad scope of services in North America - from lead Family Strategy agency to lead Toy agency - the Family Business provides a truly special opportunity to create culture-defining work with some of the world’s biggest brands. 

  We are looking for an Associate Account Executive to assist the Account team in day-to-day project development and management of inter-agency teams. The AAE assists the account management team in the day-to-day project execution by participating as a task person and serves as a liaison connecting Creative, Studio, Planning/Strategy, Account, and Finance to ensure client needs are met on time at high quality service levels and on budget. The AAE is responsible for sound, proper, and timely execution of all assigned work.  

 Attention to detail and being a self-starter by helping identify what needs to be done next is a critical component of this role and is paramount to the success of this team.  

 

Responsibilities:

Plans, analyzes, and evaluates information and agency output relevant to assigned client needs, which may include:  

  • Helping to develop workable budgets and plans; assisting in monitoring budgets, research, and similar items as assigned. 
  • Collaborating with cross functional team members in preparation of recommendations, marketing strategies, and actions for the client project. 
  • Reviewing and analyzing material relative to client needs: media results, research data, etc.  
  • Coordinates and manages activities necessary to meet assigned client project needs, including:   
  • Maintaining communications with appropriate agency and client personnel to ensure that assigned work is handled in a positive, timely, and effective manner. 
  • Helps to manage estimates, project profitability, budget management, and timeline management, noting details, ensuring accuracy and escalating issues of time, cost or delivery issue for resolution. 
  • Assists in developing conference reports, job changes and status reports. 
  • May process vendor invoices to ensure payment. 
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of client’s business, industry, category and marketing research. 
  • Works collaboratively and professionally across TMS department teams to develop good working relationships by accurately communicating information and facilitating the flow of information to decision makers. 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally 1-2 years relevant marketing promotion and/or account management experience within an agency environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Advertising or Communications is a plus)  
  • Strong interpersonal skills, person to person, with various levels. 
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong time & project management skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (should be able to present complex ideas clearly) 
  • Is resourceful and a proactive, self-starter with a curious mindset.
