Associate Accountant
Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Follows standard operating procedures to ensure compliance
- Executes daily general ledger accounting operations
- Reconciles accounts in month end closing process
- Keeps records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities
- Supports and executes internal controls
- Coordinates accounting matters with peers
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Assists with the preparation of reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position
- Supports the coordination of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Preferred:
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work well within a team
