Associate Accountant

Work Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis for up to 4-6 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of our accounting process, with a primary focus on accounts payable, billing, and transaction management. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and has a strong background in accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle billing operations using Stripe or similar platforms.
• Utilize Excel for accounting purposes, including data entry, analysis, and reporting.
• Oversee and execute financial transactions and record-keeping with precision.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide support in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in billing and transactions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel specifically tailored for accounting tasks.
• Experience with Stripe billing systems or similar platforms.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
