Responsibilities:
- General accounting, to include log accounting activities where applicable, and financial analysis activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of ledger accounts, preparation of financial statements, reports and schedules.
- Prepare, complete, analyze and report accounting transactions and system maintenance ensuring integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles including ERISA and SEC requirement, such as SOX 404, where applicable.
- Provide financial support to the business including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
- Reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers.
- Conduct financial, business analyses and modeling using forecasts, financial statements, and other business inputs to assess risk, improvement opportunities and potential costs and/or benefits.
- Focus of responsibilities may be to perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, credit and collection, sales rebate duties.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-task, work independently, work effectively in diverse teams, and able to apply complex accounting principles to solve problems. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills including Enterprise accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft), MS Office with advanced proficiency utilizing Excel. Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required. Bachelors degree and three (3) years of accounting experience preferred.
