About this role
The Aladdin Studio team is focused on developing a world-class digital experience which will help developers of all types build faster and more effectively on Aladdin. We are evolving it as an integrated digital application where you can discover data, build your own financial apps, and access industry-leading content, documentation and insight - with all of this delivered via a design-forward and client-centric experience.
As an engineer in the compute team, you will be building out Aladdin Studio Developer Services with a specific focus on building Software Development Kits to aid researchers, portfolio managers, traders and other professionals across the firm to enable citizen developers with the latest tools. The team is committed to open-source technologies, and we regularly contribute the work that we do back to the community.
Your role:
- Design and implement SDK enhancements with focus on accessibility, standardizations, performance, and resilience.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to prioritize and deliver integrations across Aladdin Studio.
- Influence the technical direction of the Aladdin SDK landscape, and partner with other development teams to build business specific toolkits.
- Continue to improve build automation and deployment processes.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in designing and building services in a service-oriented architecture, implementing scalable services and intuitive client libraries.
- Understanding of programming paradigms, and motivation and ability to pick up new domains and technologies with a focus on shipping high quality and well-tested code.
- A focus on open communication, able to ask good questions and can communicate themselves clearly and effectively
- A familiarity with containerization and workload orchestration. Our platform is built on top of Kubernetes and utilizes multiple open-sourced cloud native projects such as Argo/Helm/Kustomize/Kaniko/Keda etc.
- The ability to see work through from conception to delivery
- A desire to seek feedback from teammates, stakeholders and product managers
- Focused on constant and continued learning
