Associate Applications Engineer

Summary
Pixelligent is an advanced materials company that delivers next generation optical materials for demanding applications in solid-state lighting, flat panel displays, and optical components.

We are looking for an Associate Applications Engineer to perform internal testing of commercial products. In this role, you will provide support for the Applications team in helping to develop new internal and commercial products, monitoring formulation properties under normal and accelerated test conditions, and troubleshooting formulation problems.
The ideal candidate is energetic, has an attention to detail and follows instructions well. You will have an opportunity to use your experience, expertise and passion to help us grow Pixelligent to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic laboratory tasks in formulations development and characterization;
• Provide technical support through guided experimentation in the lab to key internal and customer projects in support of business development activities to commercialize new products;
• Document and communicate technical information to the Applications team in a timely manner

Required skills & experience:

• BS degree, preferably in an engineering/scientific discipline;
• Laboratory experience is preferred

Desired skills & experience:

• Ability to quickly learn new laboratory tools and methods;
• Experience and/or knowledge of polymeric materials, composites, nanocomposites and formulating is highly desirable;
• Experience in film coating is a plus;
• Experience working with cross-functional product
